World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.
If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will be able to gain 3% of its previous damage for every time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them; the item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level for a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. item upgrader are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible up to 15 levels.
It is commonplace to see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is the best way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes much faster.
Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
item upgrades has a certain range of values it can improve a statistic by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the many Glyphs and there are also a few rare Glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.
Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, therefore it is best to put Glyphs in strategic locations on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.
Leveling
The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires a different amount of components and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is leveled up.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item, and once enough are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When a player improves the equipment they have, the base item is replaced by the new item. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own bonus. This could be a drawback, as the item can become more expensive even if you don't require it.
The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens in order to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can use up a lot of resources.
Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. Failures can cause the item to go to its initial state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.
If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained like crit chance damage to attack, additional effects (such as increased heal over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.
If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will need to carry every piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade will require an individual amount of ingredients for upgrading.
